Alfresco Landscape – Customer Service & Administrative Assistant
The Customer Service representative is responsible for all customer relations. The position includes answering the telephone, providing proposals, working with clients to schedule services, answer questions, and assist in resolving issues. To be successful in this role, candidates should have professional, positive demeanor with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Working as a liaison between clients, crews and the management team requires organization and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Initial contact with customers via telephone in a professional manner representing the company values and quality standards.
- Data Entry, Scheduling, and Dispatching in service software, Service Autopilot.

Expectations:
Landscape Designer and Sales personnel manage the landscape design and install projects from the initial customer contact through design and installation. Responsible to act as the liaison between the client and the Landscape Foreman insuring instructions for project execution are completed to customer expectation, company values and quality standards.
Requirements:
-Qualify and manage leads and produce additional new customer leads
-Meet with clients on site to discuss and determine the needs of each client.
-Analyze and measure potential project site.
-Create and develop landscape designs, hand drawn or CAD.
-Create estimates to execute work.
-Review project design and estimate with senior designers prior to customer presentation.
-Present prepared designs and proposals to the client in person with effective, professional communication.
-Coordinate all aspects of the project; working with the various team members as necessary; purchasing, accounting, foreman and crews.
-Ensure job costs and subcontractor costs are competitive and within budget as proposed.
-On site management of the project to ensure proper execution as designed.
-Communicate with clients regarding project changes, estimate, and execute in a timely fashion.
-Complete a final walk through with the client when installation is complete.
-Complete a project cost review and prepare a final invoicing report for accounting.
Skills & Qualifications:
-Degree in Horticulture or Landscape Architecture – required

Nursery Manager – Cedar Springs Distribution Main Yard

Our Nursery Manager is a critical member of our team and is the direct contact for our project teams working within the nursery. At Great Lakes, you’ll lead by example in running day-to-day operations while working as a team player to fill gaps as needed in order get the job done.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the implementation of all nursery projects:
• Manage inbound truck unloading – facilitate the careful unloading of plant material off trucks and position them properly in the nursery. Tag, water, and perform quality checks.
• Plant Maintenance – Manage Watering, fertilizing, spraying, triming, weeding, and checking for proper spacing. Cover polyhouses in fall.
• Maintain infrastructure – Maintain and replace polyhouses as needed, create new holding yard space, maintain irrigation system, repair existing nursery structures and roads.
• Sales staff support – Answer product questions from sales staff, take photos, and perform inventory counts.
• Orchestrate the management of employee teams. keeping in mind what materials and amount of labor is required to accomplish projects. Reduce or increase labor help as needed.
• Monitor employees and their work performance. Hold them accountable and lead by example.
• Look for ways to increase productivity and efficiency within the nursery and shipping departments. Propose ideas or plans to put those ideas into action.
• Oversee the execution of necessary weekend work.
Qualifications
• Experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to adapt to frequent changes
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to create a positive teamwork environment
• Organized with the ability to multitask in a fast paced work environment
• Willing to get pesticide applicator license
• Experience in the green industry is a plus

As an Inside Sales Representative, you’ll be a critical member of our team that works as an advocate for the customer to ensure that customer needs are understood and satisfied. You’ll assist with making sales, handling client complaints, order processing, finding solutions for customers when inventory is low, and improving the overall customer experience.
What You’ll Do
• Greet and welcome customers.
• Set tone for a positive customer experience. Build relationships with customers based on trust and respect.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
• Process orders, inventory, and pricing questions over the phone.
• Assist customers with any questions via email and phone.
• Communicate with customers to understand their needs and explain product value.
• Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate customer need fulfillment.
• Schedule deliveries.
• Maintain a strong work ethic with total commitment to success every day.
Qualifications
• High School diploma/GED required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Previous experience in a high-standard customer service environment preferred
• Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and relationship-building skills
• Strong ability to take initiative, coupled with leadership skills and the ability to take charge of a situation
• Strong sense of personal responsibility and reliability with the desire to work as an integral member of a team

Chauffeur Truck Driver
We are looking for help in our delivery department! Positions are vacant for delivery drivers who are comfortable driving delivery box trucks or stake trucks throughout West Michigan. Some experience in driving larger vehicles is required and delivery experience is preferred. Must be able to operate vehicles with either a manual or automatic transmission. Our chauffers license drivers are used for a few purposes. We transfer materials between our yards so that we can facilitate the loading of all of our semis without having to move them many times a day. This is called a transfer load and is the bulk of our needs. We also will run smaller deliveries out to customers where a larger truck would be inefficient. Lastly, we pick up merchandise from vendors throughout Michigan to stock for sale.

Great Lakes Landscape Supply
CDL-A Truck Driver
We are looking for help in our delivery department! Positions are open for delivery drivers who are comfortable
driving semi-trucks with flatbed and Conestoga trailers throughout the state of Michigan. We would prefer at
least one year’s experience with a track record of safety. Our CDL drivers are the backbone of our delivery fleet.
We deliver quarried stone, brick and block, trees, and plants to landscape contractors throughout the State of
Michigan, daily. Delivery drivers at Great Lakes Landscape Supply should expect to make at least one run a day,
and sometimes many if the conditions are right. Our drivers get an early start, but are home each night, and are
part of an experienced delivery team.
License/ Certification:
DOT med card (Required)
CLDA WITH an Air Brake Endorsement (Required)
Pre Employment Drug Screening (Required)
Job Hours
This can be a full-time position. Pay starting at $21 hr,
based on experience.
